The Monroe Noon Club is one of over 100,000 clubs worldwide individually working for the ideal of

"Bringing Out The Best in Kids".  

We fund raise to produce positive results within our community by supporting youth activities.  
Our club members  work "hands on" in many cases directly with the  kids we serve.  
As a result of our working together, strong relationships are formed within our club,
and we are respected in our community as a catalyst for positive youth development.

The vision of Optimist International is shared  -  but each club defines their own way of making it a reality.  
Our projects are  driven by the needs, here in our community, as perceived by our members.
More Members & Diversity  =  More Projects and Greater Reach  
That's where the "30 more Kids Served" formula comes from.  

And, what's the catch???

Financially, there is a $30.00 one time registration fee to become a member.  
Annual dues are $75.00  ( About $5.00 a month - a better deal than Cable!)
Our Optimist year runs October 1st  - September 30th, and dues are automatically pro-rated.

As far as  personal investment,  you should be willing to:
Experience fellowship with people who share an intent to get things done,
Enjoy new social & working relationships with individuals from a cross-section of our community,
Suggest, participate in, or, even lead if so inclined, a service project for our club.
and
Be ready to Feel  the satisfaction of making a difference in your own life as well as in our community.

Friend of Optimists
Perhaps you have read this far, embrace the concept, but don't see yourself as an active member?
You can join us as a "Friend of Optimists" and be part of our work as it suits you.
Whether you are a community resident, or are peering at this from another place in the world,
(perhaps you were originally from this area), or maybe you just feel a connection with our mission & work.
You can become a member of our club as a "Friend of Optimists".  
There is no registration fee.
Annual dues are $100.00.  
As a Friend of Optimists, you have all the rights and privileges of a Noon member.
(with the exception of voting privileges at the District & International conventions)  

You will be kept in our information loop through the quarterly Optimist International magazine sent to you,  
our monthly club's newsletter, and can always keep tabs on us & give input through this site.  
As a "Friend",  your support enhances our local volunteers'  capacity to have a positive impact our community
and brings you into the family of Optimist International.
